The Speedrun, name every Pokémon of the theme you choose
You type a theme, pick a timer, then name as many Pokémon as you can. The Ghost types, the Paldea Pokédex, the Dragon egg group, everything that can have Levitate, or simply every Pokémon: 494 themes to choose from. The Speedrun is played solo, against your own record.
Type anything, the theme shows up
A free search bar replaces the list of categories: type a word and the matching themes appear, in any of the seven languages. The families are generations, types, dual types, regional Pokédexes, moves, abilities, egg groups, Pokédex colours, evolution methods, statuses (Legendary, Mythical, Baby, starters, fully evolved, Pokémon that do not evolve), forms (Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian, Mega Evolution, Gigantamax), gender, and the "All Pokémon" theme.
Each species counts once, whatever its form. For a form theme, such as Alolan forms, you answer with the species name, not the form's name. Moves and abilities are judged on the most recent game, and moves that are too widespread are not offered.
A timer of your choice, a record per theme
Three timers: 1 minute, 5 minutes, or no limit. With no limit the clock counts up and you stop when you want, or when the list is complete. A theme's best result is the one with the most Pokémon found, then the least time. Each theme therefore keeps one record per timer, and you can replay the same theme to beat it.
During the game you see live whether you are ahead of or behind your record, in Pokémon found at that moment. The Speedrun is solo: no leaderboard, no Coins, no points toward your total score.
How to go faster
You can type the name in any language, and a wrong guess costs nothing but time: try as soon as you have a doubt. With an account, your records follow you from one device to another; without one, they stay on the device. Seven days in a row with a Speedrun game unlock Ninjask as an avatar.
How to play
- Try a theme. Type anything: generation, type, region, move, ability, egg group, legendaries, mega… Just try, it might work.
- Pick your timer. 1 min, 5 min or no limit.
- Name them. A name in any language. A wrong guess costs nothing.
- Beat your record. Each theme keeps your best score per timer. The track shows if you are ahead.
