About Pokequizz

The List, name as many Pokémon as you can in 60 seconds

A category appears and the clock starts: sixty seconds to name every Pokémon you know that belongs to it. The Ice types, the third generation, everything that can have Levitate, the Galar Pokédex. Nothing is hidden here: you empty your memory as fast as you can.

Eight kinds of categories

A category is a generation, a type, a dual type, an ability, a move, a regional Pokédex, an evolution method or a Pokédex colour. The daily category rotates between these eight kinds, so only one day in eight is about moves, the toughest kind.

A form counts for its species as long as it exists outside battle: Wash Rotom makes Rotom count as a Water type, Alolan Raichu makes Raichu count as a Psychic type. Mega Evolutions and Gigantamax never count, since they only last for a battle. Abilities and moves are judged on the most recent game where the Pokémon appears, hidden ability included. For an evolution method (by trade, with a stone, by happiness), you name the Pokémon that evolves: Kadabra for trade, not Alakazam, and regional forms count, such as Alolan Sandshrew with the Ice Stone. The colour is the one used by the games' search by colour (black, blue, brown, gray, green, pink, purple, red, white, yellow), for the normal form.

Common, Replay and levels

In Common, the daily category is the same for everyone and is played once a day. Every Pokémon you find is worth one point, with no cap.

In Replay, you get a single game a day, and you choose the level: the category is then drawn at random within that level. Speed: categories of 60 Pokémon or more (generations, types, regional Pokédexes, Pokédex colours, etc.), where nobody empties the list and typing speed decides. Technique: 20 to 59 Pokémon (abilities, moves, evolution by trade or with a stone, etc.). Specialist: fewer than 20 Pokémon (dual types, rare abilities, evolution by friendship, etc.), where you need to find them all. A game started and left counts as your Replay game of the day.

Why levels: a player names about thirty Pokémon in 60 seconds, so the size of the category decides the kind of game. Levels keep players with comparable categories in the same leaderboard.

There are four leaderboards: Common, Speed, Technique and Specialist. Each game counts in its own leaderboard, at one point per Pokémon found, and ties are broken by time (fastest first).

La Liste points do not count in the cumulative score, the global leaderboard or the weekly race: they stay in The List's own leaderboards.

How to go faster

You can type the name in any language, suggestions show up from the first letters and Enter picks the first one. A wrong guess costs nothing but time, so submit as soon as you have a hunch.

At the end the full list is shown, with what you found and what slipped away. Seven days in a row on The List unlock Rotom as an avatar.
