Pokequizz Global Leaderboard
The Pokequizz leaderboard lists the best players, quiz by quiz and mode by mode. The Common, Replay, Sprint and Daily rankings are updated in real time after every validated game.
How points are calculated
A game score is not a plain count of correct answers: it adds up four components, computed server side when the game is validated. Winning is worth 1 base point. The number of attempts is worth up to 5 more, following the formula six minus the number of attempts: a first try scores 5 points, a second try 4 points, and nothing at all from the sixth attempt on.
Speed adds up to 3 points: under ten seconds scores 3 points, up to thirty seconds 2 points, up to one minute 1 point, and nothing beyond. Careful though, using the hint wipes out both the attempts bonus AND the speed bonus at once: the game still counts as a win on the leaderboard, but it only brings in the single victory point.
Last comes the streak bonus, granted once a day on your first game of the day whatever the mode. It is worth 1 point per week of attendance started: 1 point in the first week, 2 points from the eighth consecutive day, 3 points on the fifteenth, and so on. A missed day resets the streak to zero. A regular player therefore piles up more points than an occasional one at equal skill.
Picking a ranking and a period
The leaderboard is not one single list. The Global tab adds everything up: Common and Replay games across the thirteen quizzes, plus 1 point per correct answer in Sprint and in the Daily Challenge. Every quiz then gets its own tab, so you can compare your level on a specific format such as Wordle or Cry without the other formats padding the total.
Sprint and the Daily Challenge stand apart, because they are not ranked on a cumulative total but on your best single game: thirty questions in three minutes for Sprint, ten Pokémon for the Daily Challenge, and two players tied on correct answers are separated by time.
Three periods live side by side: today, the rolling week of the last seven days, and the all time total. The daily period reshuffles the deck every morning and remains the best entry point for newcomers, since you are not up against months of accumulated scores. The week rewards consistency, the all time total rewards longevity. Aggregation happens entirely server side, then gets paginated twenty players at a time, and your own rank stays visible even when you do not appear on the page being viewed.
Climbing the leaderboard
The formula dictates the strategy. Playing at least one game a day keeps the streak alive and grows a bonus that can never be recovered afterwards. On quizzes you master, a first try answer under ten seconds brings in 9 points from a single game, where a laboured win with a hint brings in just one. The gap therefore widens far faster through the quality of your games than through their number.
Replay mode counts towards the cumulative score too, under exactly the same formula: it is the lever to improve on a format you know poorly without waiting for the next day common game. One last often overlooked point: Sprint and the Daily Challenge feed the Global ranking at 1 point per correct answer, which makes them the most rewarding complement to a short session.
